Harbour Rebel 5.4% ABV
A beautifully balanced American pale ale using a curated selection of European hops for their spicy, resinous flavours together with sweet, fruity tangerine aromas. These are added onto a foundation of the finest malt to give this beer a glowing amber hue and a touch of caramel sweetness. Unlike your average IPA, this beer breaks all rules and pushes the boundaries of conformity. A true harbour rebel.

The Inspiration:
Named after John Paul Jones, founder of the American Navy. Jones was an apprentice seaman and spent much of his early years in Whitehaven. He would later use his local knowledge to lead a raid on the Harbour during America’s War of Independence. The intention was not only to burn the large fleet of British ships in the Harbour, but also to set the town alight. Thankfully the raid was unsuccessful but being the only foreign invasion on British soil since the Norman Conquests, managed to cement John Paul Jones’ name into infamy. An English traitor? Perhaps to some, an American Hero? Most definitely! A toast to you Rear Admiral!
